JUST IN: Accord, SDP Lose Reps Candidates, Okanlawon, Bash To APC

    David Okanlawon and Bashiru Lawal, house of representatives candidates of Accord and Social Democratic Party, SDP, in February 25, 2023 elections in Ibarapa North/Ibarapa Central and ATISBO/Saki East/Saki West federal constituencies respectively have dumped their parties for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

    Okanlawon, an engineer, was a member of the APC before joining Accord in the build up to the 2023 election.

    Lawal, an architect, was chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, and later chairman of Accord when Rashidi Ladoja, was governorship candidates.

    Okanlawon in chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM said that he was happy to be back home.

    Alhaji Wasiu Adebisi, an Abuja-based Oyo indigene, was said to have brokered the deal just like he did for Wakeel Oyedemi of Accord.

    At an ongoing event in Saki, David Okunlola,  running mate to Teslim Folarin, governorship candidate of the APC, was on ground to receive him.

    Okunlola, a Ph.d and lecturer at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, confirmed the development to this newspaper.
