Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), has described as shocking, the unfortunate demise, over the weekend, of the Station Manager, Fresh FM, Ado-Ekiti, Mr. David Ajiboye.
Lanlehin in a statement from his Media Bureau in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, lamented the death of a man he described as “full of life, hardworking and loyal, given his commitment to the Fresh FM brand, not only as a foundation staff, but also as publicist to the founder, Dr. Olayinka Joel Ayefele, MON.”
“Mr. Ajiboye, being an all-round journalist made his mark in the Nigerian Tribune as an entertainment writer, before joining Dr. Ayefele, and has since then, dispatched his duties with zest and zeal, displaying in no small measure, the true colours of loyalty and commitment,” Lanlehin noted.
Maintaining that death was a debt all mortals owed, Lanlehin notwithstanding expressed sadness at the death of a young and upwardly mobile person like Ajiboye, affectionately referred to as Davesbond by friends and admirers, whose contribution to the growth and development of Nigeria, especially in the media and communications sector, was still needed.
The former Oyo South Senator who commiserated with the family of Ajiboye, particularly his wife, as well as the entire management and staff of Fresh FM, most especially Dr. Ayefele, prayed God Almighty to grant the repose of the departed’s gentle soul, as well as give everyone grieving consequently, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
