The senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr. Yunus Akintunde has expressed his sympathy and support for residents and victims of the fire outbreaks that occurred at Amuloko Market in Ona Ara LGA and Ire Akari Estate area in Soka Oluyole LGA, which left behind destruction and despair.

The fire outbreaks at Amuloko Market and Ire Akari Estate area had caused significant damage to properties and disrupted the lives of the residents.

A press release made available by Kunle Olatunji, the Special Assistant to Senator Akintunde on Media and Publicity, stated that “Recognizing the devastating impact on the affected communities, he has extended his support and solidarity during these challenging times when many people are just settling down to business activities as the year is just beginning.

“His compassionate response demonstrates the importance of unity and empathy in times of crisis.

“To provide immediate relief and assistance to the affected individuals and families, Senator Yunus Akintunde has appealed to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The Senator recognizes the urgent need for relief materials and support in the affected areas. By reaching out to NEMA, he aims to ensure that the victims receive the necessary aid to rebuild their lives and regain stability.

“The fire outbreaks at Amuloko Market and Ire Akari Estate area have caused immense hardship for the residents of Ona Ara and Oluyole LGAs.

“However, Senator Yunus Akintunde’s sympathy and appeal to NEMA offer a glimmer of hope in the face of such an unexpected devastating incident.

“It is through the collective efforts of individuals, communities, and government agencies that the affected areas can begin the process of recovery and restoration,” it stated.
