Apart from financial assistance, grinding machines were also presented to those who needed them.

Only few weeks ago, shortly after the Sallah festivities, the foundation assisted another round of widows with financial assistance and equipment.

It would be recalled that during the holidays induced by the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple, on many occasions assisted the needy with trailer loads of food items which included rice, beans, semovita as well as cash to lift their businesses.

Speaking over the weekend at the event, the couple in their speeches, said that long before the established the foundation, they have been extending their hands to the less privileged and needy in the society.

According to them, apart from support for businesses, the needy and households, they have been assisting students with tuition and monthly stipends.

“We don’t have time lag for anything, we extend our hands as we see the need for it. For example, if we are informed of a needy person or household or student, we swing into actions immediately we know it is genuine. Those who are here can testify that we don’t use any consideration, be it religious or ethnicity to select beneficiaries. We are for humanities. We know that there is nothing we give that will be enough. We only want to do our part,” Idris Adeoye said.

The wife, Hajia Halimah, enjoined beneficiaries to make good use of whatever they have been given, adding that they would not relent in assisting people. She said that others who have not benefited would be enlisted in subsequent disbursement which will happen in few weeks time.

Beneficiaries who took turn to speak were full of praises for the couple, admonishing that of other well-to-do individuals can do like the couple, the society will be better.
