A GREAT MAN IS GONE: OTUNBA ALAO-AKALA

I commiserate with the people of my dear state on the demise of His Excellency, Otunba Alao Akala, former Governor of Oyo State.

The news of his passing came to me as a rude shock; just last week I spoke with Brother Bayo (as I fondly called him) on the telephone.

Brother Bayo was a generous and kind hearted man, who was most genuine in his developmental beliefs.

I pray that Gov. Akala meets our Creator well and God forgives any and all shortcomings. My heartfelt commiserations are also extended to his family and loved ones; I pray God provides the fortitude to bear the loss.

    A great man is gone!

    Sen. Monsurat Sunmomu
