The acting Deputy National Youth Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Afeez Bolaji Repete has desvribed the exit of former Governor Alao Akala as a painful one.
Recall that OYOINSIGHT repoeted that Akala, a chieftain of the APC in Oyo State, died in the early hours of Wednesday.
In a statement made available to this newspaper, Repete, a chieftain of the party in the state, noted that Akala was a statesman and not just a politician.
“To someone like me, he was more than just a party leader, he was also a father,” Repete began.
“But beyond that, Baba Akala was not just a politician, he was also a statesman. A representation of this can be found in how he ensured he contributed to lives of many across different political divide.
“I pray the Almighty grants his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
