It is just criminally normal for those who are benefiting from the vulnerability of our weak system to want things to remain the way they are; giving room for exploitation
The recent unpopular criticism of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde by some politically disenfranchised corrupt elements, most of whom are beneficiaries of the just rejected party in the State, is an attestation to the fact that normalcy and effective representation is gradually restored to our public administrative system.
Unlike in the past, some of of these evil elements who robed themselves in mental deception have failed in their attempt to continually use the business as usual model, milking the State with flamboyant and over estimated projects… No! The highly disciplined and God fearing Seyi Makinde will not and never engage in such practices to the detriment of the good people of Oyo State to whom he sworn an oath of Honesty, Equity and Justice to.
Cry me a river!
Seyi Makinde will not allow the looting of the State treasury. This is not just ascertained in words but also in the establishment of the State anti-corruption agency. One of the very first thing he did in assuming office.
GSM will not engage in over bloated contracts! This strong message has already been sent with an ongoing probe into some contracts presented by a Ministry…
Determined to step on toes in protecting the resources of the State, with an affirmation to turn Oyo State from it’s sick position to a viable and prosperous State with transparency and accountability.
Engr. Seyi Makinde believes that people’s welfare is his primary responsibility and the resources of Oyo State is for the benefit of the people of the state. This is why he holds it a priority the pension of our retirees and the payment of salaries and emoluments of our work force as at when due.
So not minding whose ox is gored! Seyi Makinde will always put principle and people first by giving jobs and responsibilities to capable hands. A clear message that it will not be business as usual! Oyo State is now on the path to true transformation!
