• Tinubu Prepared To Make Nigeria Work for Nigerians — Folarin
The Oyo State Coordinator for Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Council and 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Teslim Folarin has declared that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is prepared to make Nigeria work for Nigerians.
The former Senate Leader made the categorical statement during APC Ward-to-Ward Campaign in Ibadan Northwest LGA on Monday.
Senator Folarin in company of former deputy governors Iyiola Oladokun and Moses Alake; Senator Femi Lanlehin, Chairman of Oyo APC, Hon. Isaac Omodewu; Director-General of Oyo APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign, Dr. Isiaka Kolawole and his deputy, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe; former ALGON Chairman, Bashorun Bosun Ajuwon; and other party stalwarts took campaigns to Idi-Ishin, Idi-Osan, Idi-Ikan, Eleyele and Ifeleye Markets of Ibadan Northwest LGA on Monday.
The Oyo State APC governorship candidate urged community leaders, traders, artisans and other stakeholders in the council area to massively mobilise for Tinubu and all APC candidates on February 25th and March 11th general elections.
“According to INEC record, Oyo State has over 3.3m registered voters. Let us deliver 2m votes for Asiwaju Tinubu on March 11th. Aside being our own, he has the experience and skill sets to make Nigeria work for Nigerians”
“Both Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima are tested and trusted leaders. They have both executive and legislative experience to take Nigeria to greater heights. They have never disappointed and will never disappoint Nigerians when elected. Tinubu-Shettima Presidency will ensure rapid socio-economic growth and development” Folarin stressed.
Meanwhile, former deputy governors Iyiola Oladokun and Moses Alake; Oyo APC Chairman, Hon. Omodewu as well as Chairman of Oyo APC Reconciliation Committee, Senator Femi Lanlehin assured the people of Oyo State that Senator Folarin would not pocket local government administration when elected Executive Governor of Oyo State on March 11th.
According to them, Governor Seyi Makinde has done a great disservice to the people of Oyo State by killing the local government administration. “Since May 2019, there has not been any meaningful development at the grassroots. Local Government Administration is non-existent under Makinde-led PDP government in Oyo State. Senator Folarin is a democrat, he will make local government functional for Growth and development” they stressed.
