Members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, can now rejoice.
Names of Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin and Barr. Sharafadeen Alli finally came out as candidates of the ADC and ZLP respectively in the list to be pasted any moment from now by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
There had been apprehension when names of the duo were omitted from the initial list.
INEC sources confirmed the development to OYO INSIGHT, assuring that the list are being photocopied for onward pasting on the wall of the commission’s entrance gate.
This newspaper recalls how the leadership of the ADC was unable to settle the crisis that erupted during the governorship nomination process. The names of party’s national secretary, Dr Dele Ajadi, who hails from Oyo, was subsequently submitted as tentative candidate. Twelve governorship aspirants had gone to court to challenge the nomination of Lanlehin.
