The Campaign Organisation of Engr. Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, a gubernatorial aspirant in the just concluded primary election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State will like to extend our congratulations to our revered father, and His Royal Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III and by extension to all Oyo sons and daughters, both at home and in diaspora on the auspicious occasion of his 80th anniversary which came up yesterday.

“We hope that the entrance of the first class Monarch into the league of Octogenarians calls for jubilation and we pray God grants him good health, sane mind and sound body to reign on the throne of his ancestors.

“Today, we remain very proud of his exemplary and inestimable commitment, dedication, progressive ideals and particularly, his legacy of peace, harmony, and steadfastness which the Alaafin Kingdom has witnessed during his reign, which we believe will endure perpetually even as Almighty God blesses him with robust health and many more years of fulfillment. We are also bound by his common values on the political arena, which form a solid foundation that has raised the bar of good governance towards the general welfare of the people of Oyo State.

“We extol the maturity and wisdom of our royal father in administering his domain, persistently fostering peace and development, and our belief is that, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III has, over the years, successfully sustained the heritage of patience, tolerance and always be at the vanguard of peace which is the hallmark of good governance.

“As he incessantly uses his exalted throne to build bridges of friendship and harmony across the state, we pray that all his dreams towards the salvation, progress and success of Oyo State come to pass.

“We hope that all illustrious Oyo Indigenes at home and in diaspora look forward to celebrating him as Alaafin of Oyo at 90 years and beyond.

“Please accept, His Majesty, the assurances of our highest esteem and warmest regards and congratulations to him and the entire people of Oyo State .

“We wish the Alaafin very happy birthday celebrations.”

Signed: Chief Remi Ladotun for Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe’s Campaign Organisation.
