InsightOyo has exclusively gathered that Oyo State Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Alake-Adeyemo may have shunned last Saturday’s congress of the All Progressives Congress, APC as a form of protest against Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Oyo APC last Saturday held a parallel state congress ‎at Liberty and Adamasingba Stadia respectively.

InsightOyo learnt that Ajimobi doesn’t take Alake-Adeyemo, who he refers to as his “loyal deputy”, into consideration when sharing political posts.

Unconfirmed report has it that the Igboho, Oorelope local government born politician, ‎has no single councillor out of the 602 councillors ‘handpicked’ by Ajimobi for the just concluded council election in the state.

“Even before the council election, ‎the governor didn’t even consider talking to him to nominate a caretaker committee member. Added to this is the fact that many people don’t visit Baba in his office. It’s like people have been warned against such action; maybe they are afraid of being identified with the old man. His council chairman doesn’t visit him,” the source added.

‎The source told InsightOyo that the absence of the old man at major state functions cannot be unconnected with the grievance. “That was why he shunned the inauguration of the council chairmen and the state congress,” the source explained.

It will be recalled the Alake-Adeyemo recently visited the state party secretariat of the party to announce his intention to run for the 2015 governorship election.
