In order to curb the speed of the deadly pandemic, coronavirus, the Oyo State government has started reaching people through via a personalized call.
The personalized message, which has Governor Seyi Makinde’s voice, was pushed out last night as caller tune to over 500, 000 people domiciled in the state. Before tonight, OyoInsight he government targets two million persons.
Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, commissioner for information, culture and tourism, made this known after flagging off a sensitization programme to end COVID-19 at major towns across Okeogun zone of Oyo State.
OYOINSIGHT.COM learnt that the method adopted is via a recorded phone call. “We have obtained the phone lines of everybody living in the state and according to local government basis.
While urging the people to adhere to the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force, he advised residents to wash their hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser regularly. He also advised them to maintain social distancing.
He added that government is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to protect residents and prevent the spread of the virus. We are of the view that no methods should be spared in our bid to educate our people on the menace of this pandemic and how to prevent the spread,” he said further.
