COVID-19: Makinde Converts Saki Hospital To Isolation Centre, Set To Commence Work On Monday

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the conversion of one of the buildings at the State hospital, Saki to an isolation center.

This isolation center will serve the Oke-Ogun region of the state and work is set to commence at the center on Monday.

On Thursday, A delegation led by the former Chief Medical Director of UCH, Professor Temitope Alonge inspected the hospital.

The delegation during their visit promised that thd equipment donated to the state by Access Bank will be delivered to the town before Monday.

The inspection of the hospital had in attendance the Chairman Caretaker committee, Saki west local government, Engr. Mudasiru Eruobodo, his colleague at Wewe Local Council Development Area, Hon. Adeleke Tajudeen Continental, The chairman Asabari LCDA, Hon. Sarafadeen Omirinde, among other stakeholders in the region.

Saki West LG boss, Eruobodo in his address commended the state government for their visit to the hospital ahead of the commencement of operations on Monday. He also commended Access Bank for supporting the fight against COVID-19 in the state.

He then urged the people of the town to take preventive measures and adhere strictly to all the directives of the government.

Similarly, his colleague, the Chairman of Wewe LCDA, Alh Tajudeen Adeleke, urged the people to adhere strictly to the directive of the state government on the prevention of the virus.
