A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dapo Lam Adesina has distributed face shields and masks to Okada riders and other individuals in Oyo State.
This was revealed by the lawmaker, who represented Ibadan South East/ North East federal constituency between 2015 and 2019, in a statement on his official Facebook page on Monday morning.
According to him, the distribution of the face shields and masks is a token from him to protect the people from contracting COVID-19.
He added that the distribution was also necessitated by the order by the authorities that it is now an offense to go to public places without using a face mask.
On how the preventive materials were distributed, he wrote, “The face shields are majorly for motorcycle riders while the face mask which is locally made in Ibadan is meant for individuals.”
He also revealed that the first batch of the distribution took place a few days ago while the second batch will be distributed on Wednesday 27th May 2020.
