A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Mr. Ayoade Rasheed Adegboyega, popularly known as ARA, has announced plans to donate One million Naira and food items to his constituents as palliatives during this Coronavirus pandemic.

According to him, the donation will be distributed through the ARA Foundation and the President of the foundation, Mr. Olusegun Ilori, will head the committee to monitor the disbursements of funds and distribution of food items.

“This is a time for all to come together and support each other as all fingers are not equal and those that are blessed more than others should rise and be their brother’s keeper in times like this, not only during the electioneering period,” he said.

ARA, as he is fondly referred to by his supporters, also noted that the scheme will target hundreds of people in Oluyole federal constituency regardless of their political party or affiliation.

He then called on other well-meaning indigenes of the state to support the efforts of the government in reducing the economic effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the people.

He also enjoined residents of the state to adhere strictly to the preventive measures outlined by the government in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
