The lawmaker representing Egebda/Ona-Ara federal constituency in house of representatives, Hon. Akin Alabi, is set to distribute 2.5 million naira to constituents as a relief package.
The federal lawmaker, who is also the owner of popular betting company, Nairabet, disclosed this in a tweet on his official Twitter account on Monday evening.
In the tweet, he wrote, “After the relief package we distributed recently, I want to go further by giving out N2.5m to twitter users that live in my constituency, Egebda/Ona-Ara, Oyo state. Post your name and area, I will follow you here and DM you on how to get your money.”
He added that the money will be distributed physically and advised his constituents to avoid dropping their account number on his social media pages because people may credit them a very low amount in a bid to discredit his name.
The decision of the lawmaker is part of efforts by various individuals to reduce the impacts the partial lockdown of the state to prevent the spread of coronavirus will have on people.
