Indications emerged on Sunday that the coronavirus test has commenced at the Virology Unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
This came as 52 persons suspected of coronavirus infection completed their 14-day isolation period in the  state.
The PUNCH quoted a member of the Oyo State COVID-19 Committee, Dr Sola Orilowo, who made the disclosure on a radio programme in Ibadan on Saturday, as adding that the UCH test centre started testing samples on Friday.
He said with the development, samples were no longer sent to Lagos.
Orilowo also disclosed that two people, who were still in the government isolation centre, were in stable condition.
He said a total of 267 persons of interest were in the state out of which 52 had completed their isolation period.
