In a letter to Governor Seyi Makinde, Alarape described the late Ayoola as a thoughtful, cultural, and hardworking man who believed in the capacity of the incumbent governor to turn the state around.

Speaking on how he met the Late Ayoola, he wrote, “We came in contact when I was speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and I will never forget his fond memories. He was very supportive of my leadership challenges spanning seven impeachment attempts until I was finally removed the seventh time.

“He used to tell those that matter then, that removing the speakership doesn’t speak well for the stability of the government.”

He then urged the Governor to name the office complex of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources after the Apaara born politician.
