The lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Remi Oseni, has declared that he will lead the charge to ensure the All Progressives Congress wins the 2027 gubernatorial election in Oyo state.
Oseni, who made this declaration at the inauguration of the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends Assembly Leaders across the 33 local government areas of the state, noted that this will happen irrespective of whether he’s the party’s gubernatorial candidate or not.
“There is no force or coalition of political parties that can stop President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. We are taking over power in Oyo State come 2027. APC will produce the next governor. Whether I emerge as the governorship candidate or not, I will lead the charge to ensure our great party returns to power in this state,” he said.
“What I did in Ido/Ibarapa speaks volumes. I’m the only one in the entire state who was not challenged in court after the election because of the overwhelming number of votes I polled. You don’t challenge a lion.
“I am also the only person across the country who delivered all polling units in my constituency for President Tinubu. That shows our strength and commitment.”
Speaking further on the inauguration of the new committee, he noted that it’s the beginning of a movement inspired by hope and sustained by a shared commitment to the people of Oyo State and Nigeria.
“Our number one agenda is delivering Oyo State for President Tinubu in 2027. Dear leaders, this is not just a political statement — it’s a declaration of partnership and support. We must rally behind our president and collaborate to move the country forward.
“We must recognise the bold steps the President has taken, especially the courageous removal of the fraudulent petrol subsidy. While it has caused temporary hardship, it is a necessary sacrifice for long-term sustainability”, he stated.
“I will deliver APC Presidential election for Bola Tinubu in 2027. I have 18,000 members of ROCOF in Ido. I challenge you to come to our general assembly next week and see for yourself.
“We have 6,000 registered ROCOF members in Ibarapa. We will soon be moving to the next stage where all ROCOF members will be meeting.
“In members, if you are more than us, I challenge you to debate. In 2027 election, we will define who can defeat us. ROCOF is home to only those that subscribe to the change that I’m bringing in line with the message of President Bola Tinubu,” he added.
