Adeolu Akande sensitizes primary constituents.
Early this week, Prof. Adeolu Akande, Chairman, Nigeria Communications Commission, accompanied by other Itesiwaju Local Government APC stakeholders embarked on a sensitization tour of all the 10 wards in the Local Government area, towards ensuring smooth take-off of the on-going membership registration drive of the ruling All Progressive congress party.
The convoy of over a dozen vehicles which snaked through Oke –Amu to Ipapo, Okaka, Baba-Ode, Komu, Igbojaye and rounded off at Otu later in the evening, drummed to the hearing of all residents on the attractiveness of All Progressive Congress as a party – imbued with milk of kindness, compassion and development-focused, and therefore remains a party of first choice for all, particularly the young ones.
Prof. Adeolu in all his addresses to the party faithfuls across the ten wards assured them that the efforts of the party leadership from the federal, state, and local government levels have returned unity to the party. He further dwelt on the need to register in huge numbers for the party, as members population is always a factor in determining candidates for elective offices, infrastructure distribution and other benefits inherent in the exercise.
He emphasized that enough incentives have been put in place by the party hierarchy at the state level towards ensuring that the registration exercise does not impose on the registrants, additional financial burden. While also personally subsidising other miscellaneous expenses which the party officials may incur on logistics for each of the ten wards.
With him on the tour were; a close associate – Deji Oyekunle, past chairmen of the local Government – Hon. Ipadeola Adeniji, Hon. Supo Olayode, Hon. Adisa Adeniyi, Hon. Niyi Adeagbo, former Senior Special Assistants – Hon. Dele Akinleye(political) and Hon. Dejo Adebisi (media), Comrade Sunday Ajibola – Former NUT Chairman(Oyo State)/National Treasurer, party Chairman – Sikirullahi Osuolale Awoleye, Elder Sakariau Mustapha, Hon.
