The technical crew of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, on Friday, paid a thank you visit to the immediate past Executive Chairman of the club, Alhaji Gbolagade Busari.
Led by the Team Manager of the club, Dimeji Lawal, the officials said the visit was to appreciate the former 3SC helmsman for his efforts at ensuring that the club excelled during his stay.
Speaking on the visit, Kabongo, as Dimeji Lawal is populalrly called, said such became imperative, going by the positive contributions of Alhaji Busari to the Oluyole Warriors.
Media officer of the team, Tosin Omolola, quoted Kabongo as adding that the former chairman, who also served as Special Adviser on Sports to former governor, Abiola Ajimobi, contributed his own quota in ensuring that everything worked well for the club, stressing that his administrative acumen helped in moving the club forward.
In his response, Buso, as Busari is fondly called, expressed appreciation to the crew for deeming it fit to pay him a visit, which he described as a great honour.
While thanking the entire 3SC officials, players, staff and supporters for giving him the support to have a successful reign in office, he urged the coaches not to relent in their efforts at ensuring that the much sought after promotion ticket is secured at the end of the current season.
Alhaji Gbolagade Busari, who made his mark in the journalism profession, was named the executive chairman of 3SC in 2017, replacing Alhaji Layiwola Lakondoro.
The team manager was accompanied on the visit by head coac, Edith Agoye, goalkeepers’ trainer Lateef Yusuf as well as coaches Yinka Popoola, Kabiru Alausa, Kola Ige and Abayomi Adigun.
