A two-term former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Murphy Adigun-Hammed‎ has reiterated his commitment to the break-away faction of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, The Unity Forum.
Adigun-Hammed, who represented Akinyele State Constituency 2 between 2007 and 2015 said that contrary to claims by Governor Abiola Ajimobi and his men that he has sent people to beg on his behalf, he would rather quit politics.

According to him, “I’m not known for betraying struggles. I think deeply before taking actions. I am for Unity Forum anyday, anytime. Governor Ajimobi should remember how I stayed with him through tick and thin, from 2007 till when he eventually won the governorship election in 2011. Despite overtures by then Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala to lure me, as a congressman, from the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, I didn’t, for once, considered the option because I believed in the aspiration of then Sen. Abiola Ajimobi.”
“He and his new ‘friends’ should perish the thought that I will rejoin them. It’s over. We cannot continue with inpunity, we cannot continue with total disregard for party constitution and leaders of our great party. I have not sent anybody to Governor Ajimobi to beg on my behalf. He should look for another gimmicks,” Adigun-Hammed added.
He advised his followers as well as members of the Unity Forum to remain calm as the leaders of the movement will take the next line of action anytime from next week.
