Alao-Akala, who would have been 72 in June 2022, died in the early hours of Wednesday in his Ogbomoso home.

“Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala was my benefactor.
He appointed me a permanent secretary in the state civil service in 2009, though my late father was in the opposition party. He knew my father very well as one of the opposition leaders. He asked me to invite my father for the inauguration and he was there. He came to meet my father to congratulate him on my appointment.

“When some people, who were opposed to my appointment went to him, he told them that he had done the right thing he would have loved done to any of his children if they are in the civil service.

”He did his very best while he held the reign of power in the State. May his gentle soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to all our brothers of Ogbomoso stock on this platform.
Odun a jina si ra o. Amin.”
