The Chief of Staff to Executive Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi has mourned the death of former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, describing him as an icon who made significant impacts in many people’s lives.
In his statement, Ogunwuyi said,
“Chief Alao Akala was a man with unique insights as a politician and he contributed immensely to the development of Oyo State and particularly, Ogbomoso.”
“Indeed, we have lost a rare gem in Ogbomoso whose ultimate priority was effective leadership and human development. A good leader whom despite differences in political affiliations still cherishes his relationship with everyone.”
“Throughout his life, he was dedicated to the service of humanity, our dear land, Ogbomoso and Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala was a steadfast and unique leader, whose commitment to the development of our state was undeniable in both his words and action.”
As we mourn his passage , I pray that Almighty God comforts his wife, Chief Mrs. Oluwakemi Alao Akala, and his children; the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde; and the people of the State. He will be dearly missed,” Ogunwuyi added.
