A former media adviser to the immediate past governor of Oyo State, Dr. Festus Adedayo has described the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111 as a cerebral king without equal.
In a post on his Facebook account, Dr. Festus Adedayo, also stated that Alaafin read his 536-page book in three days.
OYOINSIGHT.COM had earlier reported that Alaafin will launch a book by Adedayo on the late Apala music lord, Ayinla Omowura, on Wednesday in an online session.
Adedayo, the author of the book, also stated that Alaafin’s profound analysis of the book shocked him because he illustrated almost all the events in it.
He wrote, “Friends, on Thursday last week, I sent copies of my forthcoming book on Ayinla Omowura, late Apala music lord, to His Imperial Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi. Yesterday morning (Sunday), Kabiyesi called me and spoke for about 40 minutes. He had read every word of the 536-page book.
“His profound analysis of the book pleasantly shocked me, which he illustrated with almost all the events in the book. He sauced it with how Kasumu Adio, an Ayinla Apala contemporary, told him of how Ayinla met him in the Apala race and sprinted past him and others in an amazing speed. I suspected that Kabiyesi read the book all through the nights.
“I have seen cerebral kings but I am yet to see Alaafin’s equal.”
