The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has consented to the appointment of Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi as the new Okere of Saki.
This is just as OYOINSIGHT.COM gathered that Governor Seyi Makinde has issued letter of approval to the new monarch.
The new monarch, who is yet to be officially installed, was recently announced after over 6 years vacuum.
He had yesterday appreciated Makinde and Alaafin over the speedy approval of his selection process.
The graduate of the University of Lagos, in a statement made available to journalists, had said that he would remain grateful to Makinde for the approval nod which confirmed his election as the new monarch of Saki.
His statement reads: “I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde and I pray for the success of his administration. I therefore call on all and sundry to give the present administration in Oyo State under his watch the maximum support and cooperation in order to take Oyo State to greater heights.”
“Also, the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Atanda Olayiwola Adeyemi lll was equally appreciated for given quick consent to his selection. Oba Lamidi Adeyemi played a vital role by giving consent to my selection, I want him to appreciate the Governor on my behalf.”
He also thanked the kingmakers, royal families, Saki Parapo Association, stakeholders, religious leaders, all sons and daughters of Saki for their unflinching support.
