As the crisis rocking the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, continue to stage members of the party against themselves, the Acting National Chairman of the party, Abiola Ajimobi has inaugurated the election and appeal committee of the party.
At the inauguration, which took place on Thursday, Ajimobi was represented by National Vice-Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Hilliard Eta.
The election committee was a seven men team led by Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Speaking on behalf of Ajimobi, Etta said, “So, we are almost at the culmination of that process. It is with deep humility that I want to announce to Nigerians that those we have selected to do this onerous and herculean job for the party were carefully selected, some of the finest and best amongst us.
“Their job is very simple, to carry out the process of selecting the flag bearer of the party in Edo State and we know that after that exercise, there may be concerns, disagreements, that is why we have constituted members of the APC governorship Primary Election Appeal Committee.”
In his own remark, Uzodinma, who spoke in behalf of his committee members, assured the leadership of the party that the committee would ensure justice.
