Governor Abiola Ajimobi has advised Prince Dotun Oyelade to “take it easy with our administration.”
Ajimobi was quoted to have jokingly made the remark when the governor-elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
The comment drew wild applause from the entourage, including Seyi Makinde
Oyelade, who is now Makinde’s spokesperson, was together in the Alliance for Democracy with Ajimobi before he opted out in 2003.
OYO INSIGHT recalls that Oyelade recently issued a statement on behalf of his principal warning contractors against accepting any late-hour contracts from the outgoing government.
Oyelade, a seasoned journalist and author was in charge of late former governor Lam Adesina’s media during the 1999 gubernatorial campaign and played similar role with former governor Adebayo Alao Akala.
For the past one year, he had managed Makinde’s media outfit which had a salutary impact on the election with Makinde being the sole opposition to the Ajimobi administration, a move many believe resonated well with the people.
