Abass Adigun, member representing Ibadan North East/South federal constituency in the house of representatives has begun donation of health equipment to hospitals, health care centres and maternities across the two local government areas.
Agboworin, as he is popularly called and vice chairman, House Committee On Airforce, said his gesture was aimed at boosting healthcare provision.
According to his media office, the distribution of the hospital equipment held at the each local government headquarters, with representatives of selected hospitals, health care-centres and maternities in attendance.
A statement released through his director of communication and media, Aremu Ibraheem, said the equipment was to help residents in the areas to have better and easier access to quality healthcare.
He said it was also a reflection of the commitment to improve the wellbeing of the people of his constituency, particularly their health needs.
The statement quoted Agboworin as promising more commitment on people oriented projects when he marked his second year in office.
“Health is wealth. Our party believes in the well being of the people.”
He expressed appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde who, he said, has renovated and equipped some primary health centers in his constituency.
The directors of the Primary Health Care centers in the two council areas, Dr Bosede and Dr Mary said the initiative will help address the deficit in the health centers in the area, they also appreciated Hon. Abass Adigun distribution of the medical equipment for making the people’s need a priority.
