The Oyo State Government has announced that except the Executive Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who tested positive for COVID- 19, no cabinet member is in self – isolation.
The government disclosed this In a text message by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Taiwo Adisa to Punch correspondent.
“Only His Excellency ( Governor Seyi Makinde) is the cabinet member in Oyo that is positive, ” the message read.
OYOINSIGHT.COM had earlier reported how the number one citizen of the state announced on Sunday night that he has now tested negative to COVID-19 and he has resumed as the head of the state task force.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary also noted that the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, was tested and the result came out negative.
At the time of writing this report, the total number of confirmed cases by the NCDC in the country is now 232 with five deaths.
The index case in Oyo – the pacesetter State is now nine.
