The family of Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, who represented Oyo central senatorial district between 2015 and 2019, is in happy mood.
His last child, Abbas, was called to the Nigeria bar in Abuja yesterday.
The former lawmaker is a mother of three boys. Her first child, Temi Ashamu, who is commissioner for energy under governor Seyi Makinde, is also a lawyer.
Jubril, his second child, is a qualified engineer.
Sunmonu, who is the first female speaker and lawmaker in the history of Oyo State hosted family members, friends and associate to a sumptuous party to celebrate.
Abbas graduated from the University of Manchester.
Dignitaries on the occasion include many former and serving Nigerian senators, diplomats and political associates.
Sunmonu, who spoke during the event, disclosed that the reception was to express her gratitude and that of her son to God for the privilege and support of his associate during this period.
