The 40 day Fidau Prayer for former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi held today at his Oluyole residence.
The event had in attendance family members, friends and associates of the two-term governor who died after a brief illness in June .
former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Thursday gathered in Ibadan for the 40 day Islamic prayer (Fidau) of the immediate past Governor.
Family members who gathered to pray for him are his wife, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, his first son, Idris Ajimobi among other immediate and extended family members
The event also had in attendance various countries.
Among the dignitaries are Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.
Others are political associates among who are Senators Teslim Folarin, Abdulfatai Buhari, Former SSG, Alhaji Olalekan Alli, Former Heads of Service, Soji Eniade Mni, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan and Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi.
Also in attendance were All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate in the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, Hon. Moses Alake Adeyemo among others.
An Islamic cleric, Sheik Muhideen Ajani Bello led other Islamic clerics to pray for the deceased.
Bello, who addressed the gathering told Ajimobi’s supporters not to destroy his legacies.
