Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a bonafide Ogbomoso son, Shittu Olaitan Abede, has declared his intention to contest for house of assembly seat, for Ogbomoso North state constituency, one at the oyo state house of assembly seat.
The aspirant, Shittu Olaitan Abede, who is contesting under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), made his intention known to his family and party chieftains, Shittu stated that this official declaration comes on the heels of several meetings and consultations between himself and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the past few months, within and outside the shores of Ogbomoso north state constituency, the event which was held at the Abede compound of abogunde ward 01, Ogbomoso north on 31/03/2022 was witness by teeming supporters and stakeholders.
Shittu Olaitan, while addressing the teeming party leaders and immediate families at the official declaration event, said that , the reason why he has decided to make his declaration among his family, that, *Charity begins at home* and further noted that he decided to join the race for the house of assembly seat in the 2023 general election, haven’t worked as a renowned media pundit for decades and his massive political experiences for many years, has come to redefine politics and governance, also to present a dynamic legislation to the people of Ogbomoso north, he further promise not to disappoint his mandate givers.
Responding, the Abogunde ward party chairman described SOA as a committed party man who has contributed to the development of the APC and the entire community, in various empowerment events.
In a prior consultation and awareness visitation to the zonal leader of APC In Ogbomoso zone pa Olorode, just few hours before the open declaration, the zonal leader Pa Olorode who gave his blessings, encouraged and prayed for him in his quest to represent the constituency, noted that the party would be willing to support someone of his qualities, being a responsible youth also considering his youthful age and massive experience in the political system over the years.
Shittu Olaitan Abede is a bonafide son of Ogbomoso north LGA, and the son of late prominent community leader Alh Shittu Abede.
