A group advocating for good governance in Oyo State popularly known as Seyi Makinde Movement for Good Governance (SMMFG) has frowned at the release by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State alleging that Governor Seyi Makinde, plans to stampede the judiciary.
According to the group in a statement by Comrade Samson Atilola, who is its spokesperson, “the said statement released by the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the APC where he claimed Engineer Seyi Makinde is planning to stampede the judiciary is not only false, it is also a claim that could have only emanated and oozed out from a crude, wicked, manipulative, impious and depraved mind.
“There is no iota of truth in the statement and should not be considered important.
“The said Ayobami Adejumo who is the assistant publicity secretary of Apc is known for his magnified ignorance, celebrated low intelligence quotient and he can be better described as a jejune. People like him should not be allowed to contribute to matters that affect human existence.
“We wish to state categorically that the Appeal Court judgement is clear, unambigous and Engineer Seyi Makinde’s feathers are unruffled. The APC and its candidate, Adebayo Adelabu have approached the Supreme Court for whatever reasons they have and as much as we do not want to interfere in a matter that is already on litigation, it is imperative to make it very clear that Engineer Seyi Makinde is the people’s mandate and the supreme court will protect the mandate of the people.
“Engineer Seyi Makinde has no single plan to stampede the judiciary. In the actual sense, He has no reason to. If there is a party trying so hard to subvert the will of the people, it is the All Progressives Congress and her desperate candidate who is bent on ruling Oyo State against the wish of the people.
“We are aware and we have up to date information about APC/Adebayo Adelabu’s plans, pursuit and style to buy judgement as they have always done but this time around, we can assure them that the supreme court which is the highest court of law in the land will stand on the path of truth and justice and protect the one that Oyo state truthfully, sincerely and massively voted for.
“Ayobami Adejumo, Adebayo Adelabu and APC are once again advised to use their strength to salvage what is remaining of their failed and soon- to- be-dead and buried party in Oyo state and forget about pursuing a dead end case at the Supreme Court.
“Oyo State people are just starting to enjoy the dividends on democracy and putting behind the wickedness, inhumane policies, high-handedness, politics without human face and anti-human policies of the 8 inglorious years of ACN/APC in Oyo State.
“Let us reiterate once again that Oyo state is prepared and ready for an accelerated development under Governor Seyi Makinde and thousands of APC and their mischief makers cannot stop it.”
