The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has felicitated with former governor Rashidi Ladoja as he clocks 76.
Ladoja and Tinubu were colleagues at the Nigerian Senate in 1992. He was born on September 25, 1944. He is the current Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land.
Tinubu, in a congratulatory message, described Ladoja as a man who has been successful both as a politician and as a businessman.
He maintained that the life of the Ibadan-born politician has been full of remarkable accomplishments.
His statement read: “I join your family, friends and associates in congratulating you and thanking God for your life as you turn 76 today.
“Your years have been full of remarkable accomplishments.
“You achieved success in business as you have done in politics.
“Within the traditional institution in Ibadan and Oyo State, you remain a force to reckon with as the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“Since our election into the Senate in 1992, during which time we worked to chart the path towards ensuring democracy and good governance in the country, you have not been found wanting in the service of the people.
“You rose to the pinnacle with your election as Oyo governor in 2001. You demonstrated your political capacity and wide acceptance by the people of the state.
“Over the years, you have proven to be an excellent grassroots politician and fine political leader.
“As you continue to age gracefully, your vast experience, leadership, and wise counseling are still much needed.
“On the occasion of your 76th birthday, my prayer is that Almighty Allah grant you more years, good health, and imbue you with his grace and protection so our people and nation can continue to benefit from your fountain of knowledge and wisdom.”
