The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Ibadan North Federal constituency, Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi popularly called Jagaban has felicitated the Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi; the State Party Chairman, Chief Akin Oke; the Secretary, Alhaji Mojeed Olaoya; the woman leader, Mrs. Mabel Williams; Senatorial Chairman, Prince Ade Adekanye; his local government Chairperson, Mrs. Tinu Adigun and all members of APC on the celebration of this year’s Christmas.

Akinremi enjoined residents of the state to spare a thought for their less-privileged and vulnerable compatriots by donating gifts in cash and kind for them to also have a feel of the Christmas celebration and new year.

In his congratulatory message to Christians, through his media aide, Ayodeji Aremu, Akinremi urged the people to imbibe the spirit of true love and sacrifice, which, he said, the life and times of Jesus Christ epitomized.

Akinremi enjoined Christians to use the opportunity of the season to pray for economic turnaround of the state and for leaders at all levels to be guided in their drive to surmount the challenges assailing the country.

The statement by Prince Musiliu Akinremi further reads in part, “I would like to congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the Christmas celebration. As we celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, I want to enjoin us all to imbibe the spirit of true love and sacrifice for one another.

“This is the cardinal essence of this season. Let us spare a thought for our less-privileged and vulnerable neighbours by donating gifts in cash and kind for them to also have a feel of the Christmas celebration.

“We should eschew bitterness and hatred. Let us pray for the leadership of our dear state as we are entering into the New Year 2019. As a people, we might not be where we want to be yet, but we should be thankful to God that we are not where we used to be.”

He reminded political parties in Oyo state and their supporters to conduct peaceful and issue-based campaigns to avoid acrimonious engagement which will heat up the polity.

He thereafter pledged his readiness to lift the fortune of his people especially the vulnerable ones in Ibadan North Federal Constituency if given the chance to be their elected representative in February 16, 2019 National Assembly election.
