World Cup: Ajimobi Opens Viewing Centre, Urges Support For Eagles

In view of the tight situation Super Eagles has found themselves after losing their first match to Croatia in the on-going FIFA World Cup, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has urged soccer loving Nigerians to supports the team with prayers so that they will enjoy good-luck and God’s favour in its subsequent matches.
Ajimobi made the appeal while addressing thousands of soccer fans at a viewing centre he initiated located at the amphitheatre, inside Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Ibadan.

“We should exhibits our ‘never say never’ spirit that Nigerian is noted for when it comes to sports and not write off the national, they needs our prayers at this point so that the sport’s mother luck will shine on them and qualify for the next round”, the second time governor noted.
He explained that the fan pack was created to allow the soccer lover of Oyo State to enjoy the 2018 FIFA World Cup in a carnival-like atmosphere where they will watch the games in a life-size screen amidst leisure closed to what is happening in Russia where the games are being played live.
The Commissioner for Youths and Sports Abayomi Oke, who welcomed the governor to the venue, urged the soccer fans to maintain good conduct while watching the matches at the Oyo State World Cup Fan Pack.
He maintained that the comfort and pleasure of all the citizenry of the state is paramount in the mind of the Ajimobi’s administration hence necessitated the creation of a Fan pack to allowed people to savour the spirit of FIFA World Cup that only come once in every four years.Word
