Withdraw Court Case, Proceed On Lekan Balogun’s Appointment As Olubadan — Details Of Makinde’s Meeting With Ibadan High Chiefs

Olubadan-in- council has resolved the rancor and controversies surrounding the appointment of the next Olubadan of Ibadanland

NationalDailyNews quoted the council as revealing this through the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, while speaking with the newsmen after a close door meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state at the Governor’s house, Agodi Ibadan

According to the former Governor, part of the consensus reached at the meeting was to withdraw the court suit by the former attorney-general of the state, Michael Lana and other lawyers and proceed on the appointment of Otun Olubadan, Lekan Balogun as the successor of Oba Saliu Adetunji who joined his ancestors on the 2nd of this month

Ladoja therefore assured the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large that the issue will be totally solved by next week

Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde while on condolence visit to the family of the immediate past Olubadan, pledges that the Ibadan traditional institution will revert to it original concept
