Akinjide, who spoke exclusively with OYOINSIGHT.COM, however, explained that she and Seyi Makinde, governor of the state have been in constant touch.

“Well, some of us are PDP by blood, I can’t leave. He calls me. When I returned to the country few days ago, we still talked. We discussed PDP and governance. And I can say, I am satisfied by his performance in just two years. You don’t expect me to tell you all we discussed,” she said.

Asked about the crisis in her party, Akinjide said that “It’s so unfortunate. I must be honest. However, I am optimistic everything would be sorted. Those who are aggrieved and the governor will forget all these troubles anytime soon. The national leadership of the party has waded in. We will do our own bit too. Everybody will laugh at the end.”
