As 2023 electioneering activities keep drawing nearer, aspirants of different interests and parties have started declaring their interest to contest for one office or the other in their respective constituency, district and nations at large.
But ‘Dapo Oyerinde, who hails from Ward 1, Erunmu of Egbeda Local Government of Oyo State, on Sunday, at a unification meeting of Ward 1 – 4 of the local government declared his interest to contest the Egbeda State Constituency seat of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Oyerinde while speaking at the meeting, expressed his desire to contest the state constituency office in the coming election.
“Egbeda Local Government is a very dear constituency to many of us, and we cannot continue to allow mediocres, ineffective and inefficient, incompetent individual/ to be representing the versatile constituency.
“Even though it is not the time to fully talk politics, now, it is about the development of our great party and constituency for the betterment of the good people of Egbeda local government.
“While at that, our party members need to be on the same page. Let forget the happenings of the past and unite in one voice. The past events are normal things to happen in politics. The best result is for us to team up together and fight our common enemy in government,” Oyerinde concluded.
Party leaders and stakeholders, who spoke at the event vowed to speak with one voice and see to the emergence of Oyerinde as the party’s Canadians and subsequently work to win the coming election.
At the meetings were Baale Owobale, Ward 1-4 leaders, relevant stakeholders and other members of the party.
