Unknown to many people, Governors Mai Buni, Atiku Bagudu, Abubakar Badaru of Yobe, Kebbi and Jigawa respectively were guests of Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola on Sunday.
That was shortly after the governors, together with Dimeji Bankole and Awotunde, former reps speaker and agriculture minister respectively met the leadership and representatives of the Muslim Ummah of Southwest, MUSWEN, at the Bodija Estate and Environs Muslim Community, BEEMC, Islamic center.
During the visit, issues of national security, peace, national development and more importantly how southern Nigeria can be peaceful formed the major items of discussion.
De-damak, as the billionaire businessman is fondly called, later thanked the guests for the visit, promising to continue to do everything to promote peace not only among Muslims but extend love to adherents of other faiths.
The guests, immediately left for the not-too-far Ondo street, Bodija residence of Rashidi Ladoja, former governor of Oyo State, after the meeting at the Islamic leader’s highbrow Ikolaba residence.
