We’re United, Ready To Win — Oyo APC Concerned Stakeholders
Concerned Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo have described claims that the party is currently heading toward political disaster as false.
In a statement on Saturday, the group noted that the party is ready to work towards achieving unity and win the 2027 general elections in the state.
The statement read:
“The attention of concerned stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has been drawn to a publication titled “Mr. President and the NWC; Oyo APC Is Heading Towards a Preventable Political Disaster.” While every party member has the constitutional right to express opinions, it is important that such expressions are guided by facts, responsibility, and the overriding interest of our great party.
The APC in Oyo State has come too far to be distracted by narratives capable of creating unnecessary suspicion, division, and hostility among members. At this critical stage of our political journey, our collective focus should be on strengthening party unity, expanding our grassroots support, and preparing to reclaim the state through credible leadership and inclusive participation.
It is both unfair and counterproductive to personalize the challenges of our party or attribute the aspirations and activities of the APC to any single individual. The progress of the party is the collective responsibility of all leaders, stakeholders, and members working together under the guidance of the National Working Committee and the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
We acknowledge and appreciate the developmental efforts of all sons and daughters of Oyo State serving in various capacities at the federal level. Their appointments are opportunities to contribute to national development and should not become subjects of needless political attacks or campaigns of calumny without credible evidence.
The APC has established internal mechanisms for consultation, reconciliation, and conflict resolution. Those with genuine concerns should take advantage of these democratic channels instead of engaging in public exchanges that only strengthen our political opponents and weaken the confidence of our members.
As progressives, we must reject politics founded on bitterness, misinformation, and personal attacks. Our strength has always been our ability to accommodate diverse opinions while remaining committed to the ideals of justice, internal democracy, inclusiveness, and service to the people.
We therefore call on all APC faithful in Oyo State to remain calm, united, and focused on the larger objective of repositioning our party for victory. This is the time to build bridges, not walls; to promote dialogue, not discord; and to place the collective interest of the APC above individual ambitions.
Together, through unity, discipline, and responsible leadership, the APC will emerge stronger and better positioned to deliver the progressive governance that the good people of Oyo State deserve.”
