Stakeholders of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday, in Lanlate, Ibarapa East Local Government Area have expressed readiness to deliver overwhelmingly at the coming polls for all her candidates; Adebayo Aderounmu for House of Assembly, Engr. Remi Oseni for House of Representatives, Barrister Sarafadeen Alli for Senate and Senator Teslim Folarin for governorship.
The meeting, at the instance of the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) and leaders of the APC in Ibarapa East, was held in an atmosphere of conviviality, friendship and trust, with exchange of banters, displaying comradeship.
ROCOF, led by Hon. Segun Oke (Agba Emi), included Hon. Ademola Salako, Tosin Opadotun, Mrs. Bose Somoye and Elder E. A. Adedeji was received by a former chairman in the local government, Hon. Lanre Olaosegba, the party’s House of Assembly candidate, Adebayo Aderounmu, and executives of the party in the ten wards of Ibarapa East Local Government.
In attendance were Hon. Segun Kolawole, Hon. Ademola Salako, Tpl. Samuel Adesokan, Mr. Ayomipo Jolaoso, Mr. Kunle Adeyemo, Mr. Odunayo Jolaoso, and a host of other party stalwarts.
In his remarks, ROCOF leader, Hon. Oke appreciated stakeholders of the APC for the warm reception accorded the group, and for finding its overall leader, Engr. Remi Oseni worthy of the House of Representatives’ ticket, adding that with the depth and capacity of the party, he was confident of victory for all the candidates of the party.
Responding on behalf of the APC establishment in the local government, Hon. Olaosegba, who attested to the sterling qualities of Engr. Oseni, assured ROCOF of the forthrightness and dedication of the Ibarapa East stakeholders to the progressive course, adding that all candidates of the APC can be rest assured of members’ full commitments at all times.
“All our candidates – Adebayo Aderounmu for House of Assembly, Engr. Remi Oseni for House of Representatives, Barrister Sarafadeen Alli for Senate and Senator Teslim Folarin for governorship, can be confident of our unflinching support. Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu would also be backed fully,” said the former Council Chairman.
Continuing he added: “we’ve always been steadfast as regards issues pertaining to the course of the progressive, and over time, we’ve shown our strength. This time around, it won’t be different.”
At the end of discussions, all who were gathered at the meeting pledged their continued loyalty to the growth and development of the party and the success of all its candidates in the 2023 polls.
