Days after the leadership of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, threatened to deal with those forming groups within the party, the Oyo APC Reformers has reacted.
In a statement jointly signed by its chairman and publicity secretary respectively, Hon. Jide Adewale and Engr. Dipo Fawole, respectively, the group explained that it understood the frustration of former governor Abiola Ajimobi.
According to the statement, the group empathizes with Ajimobi over what it called the volume of unending rejections facing him and others as well as imminent dissolution of all party executives in the state.
“This should have been thought of when former governor Abiola Ajimobi was promoting his selfish agenda under the disguise of SENACO, Integrity Parliament and the constitutionally unrecognized elder’s council.”
Meanwhile the group has thanked leadership of the Nigerian Senate for delaying their annual vacation for the expedited screening of the minister designates, appealing to “President Mohammadu Buhari to assign one of the top ministries to the Oyo ministerial designee, Mr Sunday Dare, in order to maximize his capacity and the fact that a lot of national and state party responsibilities will be saddled with him towards the rebuilding and reorganization of the party in Oyo State.”
