It was a bad day for the lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Iddo federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Adepoju, as his kinsmen opposed his third term bid.
Omoyin, as Adepoju is popularly known, hails from Eruwa, headquarters of Ibarapa East local government. He was first elected in 2011 and was re-elected in 2015.
OYO INSIGHT learnt that Adepoju has always been evasive, especially when his attention is needed by his constituents.
He was first elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC. He recently defected to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Barely had he started telling them to re-elect him when his constituents started grumbling, saying that “Nigbati e wa mo’ore nko? (You are ungrateful, we are not re-electing you for another term…”
