Although the time and venue of the postponed date is yet to be made public but all the stakeholders of the party across the 12 wards, approved the posponment.

It was reported that some party stalwarts have allegedly hijacked the process to favour one of the aspirants, called Yusuf Sahib Oladayo, against the intention of the others who want the process to be transparent.

“The leaders that supported the doctoring of delegates list in support of Hon. Yusuf Sahib Oladayo are not popular, they know that conducting free and fair primary election won’t favour them so they want to corner everything. Their action is not in line with the party constitution and can further polarise the party and may affect the ongoing reconciliation process. So the governor should do everything possible to ensure equity and openess in the process and I am sure he would be more respected as a responsible leader and party man.

The names of the contestants are Adeniyi Akanbi Waheed, Kazeem Oshoniyi, Yusuf Sahib Oladayo,  Jonathan and Oluwaseun.
