With his victory at the election petition tribunal over Hon. Demola Omotosho, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in March 2019 National Assembly election in Ibadan North federal constituency, Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi has said that he would stop at nothing to continue to give the needed representation to ensure that the constituency continues to witness development.
Jagaban, as Akinremi who is of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is fondly called, had defeated Omotoso, in the election.
The tribunal had, in the judgement read by the vice chairman of the tribunal, Justice Sambo Daka, flanked by the Chairman Justice Anthony Akpovi and Chinyere Ani, had okayed the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the last general election declaring Akinremi as the winner of the election.
Speaking through his via his Media Office, Jagaban said that “although I didn’t nurse any fear while the case lasted, I can now say that the era of possibilities in Ibadan North federal constituency will continue.
“In the last few months, I have been able to be closer to our people. We have continued to spread messages of hope because they have always offered support before, during and after the election. And the only way to repay them is to, apart from representing them well, bring dividend of democracy to the doorsteps of our people. My constituency office is, however, open to our constituents for advises, suggestions.”
