Abass Oloko, popular Ibadan Mogaji and vice chairman of the Oyo State Tourism Board, has chided Jumoke Akinjide, a former minister of state for federal capital territory for her disparaging comments about Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Saying that Akinjide should emulate people like ‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State; Dotun Sanusi, an engineer and owner of Ilaji Resorts; Ibadan compound heads as well as other distinguished Yoruba sons and daughters who have been campaigning for Tinubu.

Oloko, who spoke in a chat with journalists Thursday afternoon, said it was not too late for lawyer cum politician to retrace her step and mobilize support for a worthy son who he said is eminently qualified.to take over from incumbent Muhammadu Buhari.

“I didn’t want to talk but I think I have to. This project to enthrone Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as next Nigeria’s president is what all of us irrespective of religion and tribe should ordinarily key into. This is because, apart from the fact he is our son, he is qualified. And we expect that is there someone who wouldn’t support his aspiration, he or she should not say what is not.

”Oloye Jumoke Akinjide should stop disparaging comments on the person of Asíwájú Bola Tinubu. She should know she doesn’t have power to sway votes in this Ibadan. Does she think the likes of Governor Seyi Makinde, Engr Dotun Sanusi, Ibadan Mogajis as well as notable indigenous associations who have expressed support for Asiwaju, don’t know what they are doing. These are true Omoluabis and not those who will sell their own because of personal gain.

“So I like to urge our sister to desist from campaigning against Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. It is not even too late for her to mobilize support for Asiwaju. She should emulate people like Governor Seyi Makinde, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, Ibadan Mogajis and other eminent Nigerians to ensure this man becomes our next president,” Oloko said.
