The leadership tussle rocking the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is far from over as immediate past communications minister, Barr. Adebayo Shittu has lashed out at former governor Abiola Ajimobi again.
According to Shittu, the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu can bear witness to the “ungrateful and uncharitable personality” of Ajimobi.
The two-time commissioner and former Oyo Assembly member made this claim in a letter he wrote to the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomole as a rejoinder to an advertorial published in The Nation Newspaper of March 2, 2020, titled “RANDOM RESPONSES TO THE TANTRUMS OF EX-GOVERNOR AJIMOBI’S MINIONS”.
Shittu, in the rejoinder, a copy of which was made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM, described Abiola Ajimobi as an ungrateful and uncharitable character used to biting the hands of those who fed him. He cited several examples of people who worked for the success of the former Governor at the polls in the past only for him to frustrate them after his emergence.
According to him, “It would be recalled that Sen. AbiolaAjimobi had previously frustrated out of APC, his original benefactors and very close friends and political allies of his late father, Alhaji Gani Ajimobi who, with all due respect, was also my elderly colleague in the then Oyo State House of Assembly between 1979 and 1983.
“Such is the life of a most ungrateful and uncharitable person who is used to biting the fingers that fed him. Such former allies are the late Alhaji Lam Adeshina, former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Micheal Adeniyi Kolesho, former Secretary to the Government of Oyo State, Chief Titilade Awaken, former legislative colleague of Ajimobi’s late father, the late Chief Pekun Adesokan, another legislative colleague of Sen. Ajimobi’s father and, last but not the least is Chief S.A. Adelereof Iseyin who had sacrificed his two eyes for the sake of Ajimobi’s success. Sorry enough, Abiola Ajimobi merely used and dumped all of them to their chagrin.”
Shittu stated further that there are several other individuals that have experienced first-hand the shameless behavior of Ajimobi, adding that, “the APC National Leader. Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu would bear witness to all the foregoing.”
