Speaking during the declaration that took place at Yemetu on Wednesday, Radical described the current lawmaker as not only ineffective but also corrupt.

“Jagaban is corrupt. That’s why he converted an ICT building meant for the empowerment of the people to Akinremi House. He has no such right,” he said.

While imploring party members to present him as the flag bearer, he maintained that he has popularity required to win the election.

“I can assure you that if you give me the ticket to fly our party’s banner at the election, majority of APC members have revealed that they are of the incumbent and if PDP presents me they are ready to vote for us.

“I can also assure you that if I get the party’s ticket, by 2 pm on the Election Day, members of our party would be celebrating already because my God’s grace, we would have won.”

At the event, two former lawmakers who served with Olaleye in the 8th Assembly were present to highlight his exceptional performance while he was a state legislator.

These lawmaker, Bolaji Badmus and Fatai Adesina, in their separate remarks, maintained that he is an individual capable of giving the constituents true representation at the Green chambers.

“I served with Hon. Radical in the 8th Assembly. If you count the best five lawmaker then, he is there. He is a vibrant person that can truly represent people. We are with the Seyi Makinde led administration in Oyo State,” Badmus, one of the lawmakers, was quoted saying.

In his remark, the party chairman in the local government, Seun Adelore, lauded the Seyi Makinde led administration in the state.

He maintained that no form of imposition will take place in the constituency because the people have decided that they want to pick the party flagbearers themselves.

“We thank our leader. People are saying out there that imposition is ongoing in PDP. We told our leader that we want to go to primaries and he did not disagree with us,” he said.
